The Taylor Made CGB Max 2008 irons feature a large, thin, high-strength steel clubface that promotes high COR for faster ball speed and increased distance. The extra-large clubhead with tungsten weights provides an ultra-high moment of inertia that makes it extremely forgiving and easy to hit.

The SuperFast Technology of the Taylor Made CGB Max 2008 irons reduces total club weight and promotes faster swing speed for added distance. The hollow topline allows centre of gravity to be moved back deep in the clubhead for incredibly easy launch on a towering, distance-enhancing flight.

Taylor Made’s Inverted Cone Technology is used in the CGB Max 2008 irons, which expands the high COR zone to promote higher ball speed on off-center hits for more distance shot to shot.

When you first take hold of the Taylor made CGB Max 2008 irons you immediately take confidence in the large clubhead design. This club is designed to be a game improving iron and features state of the art technology to provide this. Like similar CGB max irons's previous the CGB max 2008 has 4 Tungsten weight ports that give the club its forgiveness. We found we could the hit the ball literally anywhere on the club face and time after time we achieved consistently outstanding result's.

The biggest difference we found with this model from previous CGB max models was the extra distance. The CGB max 2008 features a large, thin, high-strength steel club face that in turn gave us distances we haven't seen from a 6 iron before.

This may not suit the lower handicap golfers as the fiery club face may prove hard to control distances and with the tungsten weights will flight the ball to high for high impact golfers. Due to the clubs overall weighting and forgiveness this will make it harder to work the ball flight which most single figure golfers will desire.

Price wise the Taylor Made CGB Max 2008 are towards the high end but the Premium CGB max range always produces the goods time after time. The technology and quality found in these clubs is certainly well worth the investment.
