Fairway Woods
gallery/1299598489_1291221101_shgc_header_edited-1.jpgThe Fairway Wood can be your Best Friend. Having a club in your bag you can hit off the fairway with ease and obtain long consistent distance is a must. Most golfers want to hit that second shot further and hit it straighter, so finding the right Fairway Wood solves this problem and could save you a couple of strokes in the process. The Fairway Wood can not only make long par-4s a little more reachable but can also make your wandering tee shot a little less problematic. As an intermediate golfer you can use different Fairway Woods as reliable substitutes for corresponding irons and if you are a mid-to-high-handicap player, you could even find much more confidence in a Fairway Wood rather than your Driver or Long Irons.

Fairway Woods are now designed with larger or smaller heads, with runners on the sole or with built out toes - all in an effort to make you hit the ball straighter and with more confidence whatever standard of golf you play.

At Second-Hand-Golf-Clubs.co.uk we have developed a series of information videos to help you. Whether you are a Beginner/Novice, a Skilled/Intermediate or a Highly Skilled/Single Figure Golfer take a look at our information on the different options available in Fairway Woods – remember the Fairway Wood could be your Best Friend if you choose wisely.

Choosing the right Fairway Wood
  • Choosing the correct fairway way is very important at all standards. Having a fairway wood in the bad that you are confident to hit from the tee and fairway will dramatically improve your long game and reduce your scores. With advancements in technology Fairway woods come in all shapes and sizes. The larger head designs offer more forgiveness and launch from the fairway whilst the more compact traditional designs offer more workability. The lower lofted fairway woods can be used as back up for off the tee if playing tight difficult golf courses where perfect position is required.
