Drivers
gallery/1299598489_1291221101_shgc_header_edited-1.jpgDrivers are used for one of the most important shots in golf. In fact, Arnold Palmer once said “a long drive is good for the ego”. So, in your quest to hit the ball long and straight off the tee, how do you decide on the right Driver for you?

There are a vast array of models on the market and an infinite amount of technical detail to work through. However, Driver technology continues to improve to help every level of golfer. In particular Driver Head Design has changed massively over the last few years ranging from a standard shape to square, with or without move-able weights, plus the ability to change shafts and they now even come in white! Each model also generally comes with an ever increasing number of loft and shaft flex options. It’s great to have so much choice but it can make choosing the correct combination for you very challenging.

At Second-Hand-Golf-Clubs.co.uk we have developed a series of information videos to help you. Whether you are a Beginner/Novice, a Skilled/Intermediate or a Highly Skilled/Single Figure Golfer take a look at our information on Driver Head Design, Shaft Flex and Loft. Remember the drive is one of the most important shots in golf, so let us help you choose the right Driver for you.

Product Guide Videos: Modern Driver Technology | Choosing the Correct Driver Loft

Modern Day Golf Driver Technology
  • Golf Manufactures are currently doing everything they can to produce the most technologically advanced drivers possible. Using the very latest multi-material designs and aerodynamic head shapes to bring the user the ultimate longer driving tool. Choosing a type of driver can be quite a daunting task because of the vast array of drivers available in the current market. In this this video we take you through the last few years of design and technology to see what is now available and how the ever changing technology can help improve your game.

    Choosing Loft for a Driver?
    • Loft is one of the most important things to get right when choosing a driver. Selecting the wrong loft can seriously affect the overall carry and distance you get off the tee. In the video on the right we talk about what loft will suit the different skill levels from beginner, intermediate to highly skilled golfers. A common factor we see is people don't use enough loft, especially beginners. Driver lofts are now available up to 13 - 14 degrees which is needed until your swing speed develops and increases over time. If you feel you are losing distance with your current driver try increasing the loft especially if your current driver has less than 10 degrees. If in doubt simply call us or take advantage of our 10 Money Back Trial Period
