Ping G15 irons have been developed to give the user maximum forgiveness. The wide sole design enables the centre of gravity to be placed low and deep in the cavity that helps produce the high launching ball flight required on modern day golf courses.
The large perimeter weighting in the G15 irons means great distances can be achieved even from nasty of centre strikes. The 7 grams of weight saved in the design of the CTP went straight to the outer perimeter for added stability and forgiveness.
Staff Review: PING G15 Irons
Looks and Feel: The Ping G15 irons are very attractive on the eye even though they are a fairly large head design. The head size is larger than previous models but this just added that extra bit of confidence in the longer irons. The feel at impact was soft but solid and the wide sole really helps stablise any mis-hits.
Ball Flight: The wide sole design certainly helped produce a high but long carry ball flight. Often game improver irons can just ballon and over spin which compromises distance but not with the G15 irons.
Overall: The Ping G15 Irons will appeal to golfers just starting out all the way through to the acomplished club golfer. High launching, soft landing shots are required on most modern courses and these are clubs will do just that.
