Ping K15 Irons are the first set from Ping to offer Hybrid options in the longer clubs (3 through to 6 iron). This makes the K15 Irons simply perfect for the golfer who wishes to hit consistent high launching shots with their longer irons. Hybrid clubs offer much more versatility when it comes to hitting shots from the semi or even deep rough. The sole design and low centre of gravity mean its never been easier for the club to slide under the ball to create the optimum launch and trajectory.
A lightweight Titanium face weighing only 27 grams helps to re-position weight to the outer perimeter on the club head. This combined with a strong stainless steel body make's the K15 irons Ping's most forgiving clubs to date.
The Ping K15 irons are available in steel with the AWT Shafts as standard. AWT stands for ascending weight technology, the weight shifts from heavier in the shorter irons and lighter in the longer irons to help generate greater club head speeds and higher launch.
In graphite the TFC149 is a premium graphite shaft that also offers progressive weighting through the set to help maximise club head speed for increased distance.
Staff Review: Ping K15 Irons
Look and Feel: As far as game improver sets go the Ping K15 irons are right at the top of the list for looks. They still manage to retain the classic Ping look at address which is what we were most impressed with a slight oversize look just to help boost confidence. The feel at impact was very solid which again was impressive as often face insert irons can feel very strange and hollow like, not the case in K15 irons.
Ball flight: The titanium face does launch the ball high but this has been counteracted by strong lofts throughout the set which help maintain long consisent distances.
Overall: The Ping K15 irons are a first class game improver set that are very pleasing on the eye and deliver exceptional stability and forgiveness.
