The Ping Rapture V2 fairway wood is design with forgiveness and distance in mind. Ping engineers have inserted a 61 gram tungsten sole plate which is 34% of the club heads overall head mass. This produce lower and further back centre of gravity for increase launch but lower spin levels. Ping have also used there plasma welding process to complete the three part construction of the machined steel face to the body of the club.
The Ping Rapture V2 fairway also features a wider sole design which sets it apart visually from the previous Rapture fairway, this helps to generate more stability and higher trajectory at impact.
The Rapture V2 fairway comes fitted as standard unless stated a the Ping TFC 939, designed specifically for this club and to compliment the stability at impact and mid to high launch angle. The Mitsubishi Javlin FX shaft is for golfers who wish to seek a slightly lower and penetrating ball flight.
