The Titleist 585.H Hybrid was designed with input from the tour players who require a flatter ball flight that gives more control. The 431 stainless steel body has a 455 stainless steel face insert and 20g tungsten weight in the sole which helps push the centre of gravity low and deep to give improved trajectory and distance. The Titleist 585.H utility club has a perfect tear drop shape that enables the club to sit square at address giving the better golfer more confidence. Its contoured sole has heel and toe relief that helps minimize ground resistance, giving crisp and clean strikes from all types of lies.
Staff Review: Titleist 585.H Hybrid
The Titleist 585.H is a very clean looking classic design you would expect from the Titleist engineers. As with all modern day Titleist products the 585.H features the very simple teardrop shape head design that sits very neutral at address. This will really suit the more accomplished golfer and give them confidence to manipulate the ball flight when needed.
We found on test the 20 gram tungsten weight in the sole really helps to produce a low rising ball flight that gave us impressive distance. The Titleist 585.H is available in a variety of loft and shaft options so its important to get the right combination to suit your game.
Overall the Titleist 585.H will appeal to the mid to low handicap golfers as its not the most forgiving utility club we have tested but its looks and workability certainly make up for this. The versatility of the club means you can get the Titleist 585.H out of lies that would otherwise be impossible with a long iron.
