The Titleist 907 range is available in 2 options, as the Titleist 907 D1 Driver and the Titleist 907 D2 Driver. The Titleist 907 D1 Driver features a multi-material design. Its construction, a 6-4 titanium body and SP700 beta titanium face insert. The biggest differences between the models are the head shapes. The Titleist 907 D1 Driver features a slightly triangular looking head design. This gives the club high (MOI) resulting in less club head twisting with off centre strikes and better energy transfer from club to ball. The Titleist 907 D2 has a more traditional pear shaped head and aimed at the better golfer. Featuring the same multi material design the 907 D2 460cc head has advanced traditional geometry with enhanced MOI for increased distance and shot making workability.
Titleist 907 D1 Driver Staff Review
Probably the first non conventional Driver from Titleist in that the Titleist 907 D1 Driver has a triangular. This want please the current Titleist drivers users as Titleist drivers are renowned for their classic head design. However, we feel this will open up the door to tempt new users as the Titleist 907 D1 Driver is certainly much more forgiving than previous drivers. The triangular style head design helps square the club head at impact and also helps position weight further back from the club face. Overall a very innovative driver from the Titleist engineers, will we see more of this in the future?..we hope so!
