The Nike SQ MachSpeed drivers are designed to optimise aerodynamics throughout the entire swing path, generating higher potential clubhead speeds than any previous Nike driver. Combined with the STR8-FIT adjustable face-angle technology, the result is maximum club speed and maximum energy delivered to the ball for explosive distance, stability and control.
What is STR8-Fit??
Specially designed head and shaft the can be separated and re set to allow the face to sit either closed (anti Slice) Neutral or Open (Anti Hook) and many variants in-between. The STR8-Fit Drivers give you complete control and customisation at your finger tips. All Nike STR8 FIT drivers come complete with the electronic Torque wrench that is stored away in the Head Cover.
The Nike SQ Dumo driver has also been given the STR8-FIT Treatment meaning the High tech driver has been taken to another level.
What Does STR8-FIT Mean? The STR8-FIT Options allow you customise the face setting of your driver by using a specially designed torque wrench. You simply unscrew the head and re-align it back in the desired position. If you slice the ball off the tee you would set the club face closed to help promote a draw and vise versa.
Nike’s new driver range for 2009 includes the SQ Dymo and the SQ Dymo Squared. The SQ Dymo is a more traditional looking head design whilst the SQ Dymo Squared driver is squared off around the edges to help position weight in the back corners to help create a more stable club head through impact.
Both still feature similar characteristics that made the original Nike SQ drivers so popular and easy to use. However the clever Nike engineers have taken launch angles to another level with both Dymo options.
Each loft increases in weight for example, the 9.5-degree model of the SQ Dymo has less weighting and a higher face together with a centre of gravity located further forward. This in turn will produce a more penetrating trajectory and less spin, while the higher lofted 10.5, 11.5 and 13 degree increase in weight which moves the centre of gravity further back in the club head to produce higher launch angle for maximum distance
The Nike SQ Sumo Driver is described by Nike engineers as giving your swing a ‘Super Moment of Inertia’, the SQ Sumo (Super Moment) Driver has been designed to provide straighter and longer shots. The new Power Bow geometry of the SQ Sumo Driver creates this ‘Super Moment of Inertia’, enhancing the club impact with the overall streamlined design.
The 460cc Clubhead of the Nike SQ Sumo Driver has been designed with an Extra Wide Sweet Spot, which works with the new improved geometry to generate a deeper penetrating ball flight with excellent accuracy. The result - An extra kick of power to the already incredible SasQuatch driver design, sending your shots sailing further and faster!
