Ping Drivers are used by the world's elite golfers including the current world Number #1 Lee Westwood. Since the release of the first G Range driver PING firmly set themselves as one of the Leading Golf Driver producers in the market. Since then PING staff Players Like Miguel Angel Jimenez, Lee Westwood and current Open Louis Oosthuizen have collection many tour titles all with Ping Drivers in the bag.
Ping i15 Driver. The PING i15 driver has been design to be a ‘players club’ as the i15 driver has a FADE bias so will best suit golfers who have the ability to work the ball off the tee. Still using a 460cc head size PING engineers have created a ‘bulge crown design’ that improves energy transfer for greater distance and solid feel.
The internal weighting has been repositioned slightly further from the face which in turn will produce a much lower and penetrating ball flight preferred by the more accomplished golfer and professionals.
The titanium carbon finish makes the PING i15 driver one of the most eye catching drivers on the market.
Ping G15 Driver and Ping G15 Draw Driver. The PING G15 Driver is here and with a mountain to climb to beat its previous model we take a look at the technical aspect of the G15 Driver to see what the PING engineers have produced.
Maximum forgiveness is what PING say, the G15 Driver will produce from its large 460cc sleek head design and PING’s patented ultra thin crown technology. This reduces weight which the PING engineers reposition in the external weight pads to provide higher launching and longer drives. The PING G15 Driver has a larger face is designed to increase ball speed and provide consistency across the entire hitting surface.
PING engineers have also included the G15 DRAW option for golfers who need that extra help to straighten out a slice. This is done by moving the external weight pad closer to the heel and a slight off set head design.
The Ping Rapture V2 driver was used by Louis Oosthuizen to win the British Open 2010: The lightweight titanium head of the Ping Rapture V2 driver contains 2 tungsten weight pads at the back of the driver near the heel and toe.
These pads expand the perimeter weighting and position the center-of-gravity low and away from the face. This multi-metal design from Ping Rapture V2 driver optimises the centre of gravity for lower spin and high launch. The 460cc head is very forgiving, with an extended face height and aggressively sloping crown. The Ping Rapture V2 driver's thin face is precisely machined and plasma-welded to deliver higher ball speeds for greater distance.
Ping Rhapsody Driver. The ladies PING Rhapsody Driver has a 460cc head and is designed for ladies with slow swing speeds. Its technology helps to launch the ball high with little spin. The PING Rhapsody driver has a high moment of inertia and larger face size to provide distance and accuracy.
Pings Rhapsody driver is available in three lofts, 12, 14 and 16 degrees and come fitted with a specially design ultralite PING Shaft to further increase Distance.
Ping Rapture Driver. The Ping Rapture driver is the flag ship model in Ping’s range that offers ultimate forgiveness and performance.
The The Ping Rapture driver has a 460CC head design has a robotically welded variable thickness titanium face and a light weight composite crown. This allows weight saved to be distributed to the weight pad at the rear of the sole to ensure lower centre of gravity. This in turn produces a high launch and low spinning shots for maximum distance and forgiveness. The Ping Rapture driver is available in 9 through to 13.5 degree in loft and come fitted with a Ping TFC 909 shaft unless stated.
Ping G5 Driver. Ping G5 Driver may become the most popular club ever to come out of the Ping factory. Following from the outstanding and forgiving Ping G2 the Ping G5 offers even more playability and forgiveness.
Still very similar in shape to the G2 model Ping engineers have managed to move eight grams of weight from the crown and face to the sole giving a lower centre of gravity. New face geometry ensures high ball speed for maximum distance. Similar in shape to the popular G2 driver, the confidence-inspiring head provides forgiveness and includes a thinner moon-graphic alignment aid.
The Ping G5 also offers different loft options over the G2. The lower spin rates allowed the engineers to increase the available lofts (7.5, 9, 10.5, 12 and 13.5) to ensure golfers are fitted to the proper launch angle. The Ping G5 Driver is a club that any standard of golfer could have in there bag from high handicappers to tour pro's. The versatility of the club makes it an absolute gem!
Ping G5 Offset Driver. The Ping G5 Offset driver simply helps the golfer work the ball with a right to left ball flight. So any golfer who has a tendency to slice the ball an offset driver can help reduce that and enable you to hit straighter drivers.
Ping G2 Driver. The Ping G2 driver has a huge 460cc size head, it's made of titanium and features an internal weighting system that reduces spin and launches the ball higher for added distance and accuracy.
With increased MOI the G2 driver is extremely forgiving on those off centre strikes. Although the Ping G2 driver has one of the biggest head sizes on the market it actually feels smaller at address which is why it's been so popular with the players out on tour. With available lofts from 7.5 through to 15 (400cc head) degrees, this driver will suit almost any golfer.
