Cleveland Launcher 2009 Driver. Wow!! The Cleveland Launcher 2009 drivers is a staggering 21% larger than any other Cleveland driver to date. The Launcher 2009 driver produces a low spin, mid trajectory and massive MOI that makes this Cleveland’s longest and straightest driver ever!Can you believe the crown of the 2009 launcher is only half a millimetre thick?? This is so that every last gram of weight that is saved can be sent to were its needed most, low back and deep to help maximise distance and control. The sole features a ‘C’ shaped weight pad far back towards the back again,this keeps the weight low and deep to increase MOI and forgives those miss hit shots. The huge 460CC head size gives the golfer massive confidence as Cleveland engineers have made it aesthetically bigger than any other driver on the market.
The Cleveland Launcher 2009 driver is available in two shaft options; the Fujikura FIT ON RED and YELLOW. The red option produces and mid to low flight trajectory whereas the yellow option produces a higher trajectory and ball flight.

After much success Cleveland has re modeled the Launcher driver for the 2009 season and as usual we couldn’t wait to have a blast on the range with it. So what’s new in the latest launcher driver?...Its HUGE! The launcher 2009 driver is only 460cc in size but at address it looks around 600cc so top marks on the confidence front, this beast means business. Another positive is that it sits very neutral at address along with a more conventional head design which will no doubt make it appeal to all standards of golfer.
The Cleveland launcher 2009 felt very sturdy at impact producing a very pleasing solid sound at impact which these days is certainly a bonus. Distance and flight it really ticked all the right boxes as the launcher 2009 was up there with all the current top named drivers.
Overall it looks like Cleveland have simply gone back to basics with this driver, it’s big, forgiving and ‘launches’ the ball a county mile!
Just ensure you choose the correct shaft when purchasing a Cleveland 2009 driver as the Gold will give mid/high trajectory and the Red will give a more penetrating flight, the choice is yours. (SHGC)
